A New Chapter in Metro Maintenance
In a landmark move in March 2024, CMRL entrusted MEMCO with full-spectrum depot maintenance and mainline support operations. From recruiting and certifying maintenance personnel to managing core technical functions, MEMCO became the first to deliver this integrated capability. Today, we actively oversee:

Recruitment
MEMCO has successfully recruited 148 candidates for various departments of Rolling Stock Maintenance Activities.

Training
In Collaboration with the customer MEMCO has successfully trained the recruits using classroom training and on-job training in their respective departments.

Competency
MEMCO designed department-specific competency exams for candidates. These exams evaluated their ability to handle maintenance tasks. Exam scores, weekly assessment averages, and competency viva performance decide who gets certified.

Deployment
All well-trained Maintainers are deployed in various departments of rolling stock maintenance activities.
Preventive Maintenance
MEMCO’s Preventive Maintenance team handles all scheduled maintenance activities in close coordination with the Depot Control Center (DCC) and the Progress Planning Investigation Office (PPIO). Our goal is to ensure system reliability and prevent potential issues before they arise.
Corrective Maintenance
MEMCO’s Corrective Maintenance team is on standby to swiftly address any unscheduled maintenance issues, responding promptly to directives from the Progress Planning Investigation Office (PPIO) to restore normal operations.
Depot Control Centre
MEMCO’s DCC team oversees and coordinates all operations within the depot, ensuring seamless execution of daily activities with precision and efficiency.
Progress planning investigation office
The PPIO works closely with both the Maintenance and Operations teams to ensure that all trains are fit for service and meet operational readiness standards.
Stores
The Stores team efficiently manages inventory and logistics to ensure timely availability of materials required for both Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities.
Mainline Failure Support
MEMCO’s Mainline Support team ensures quick response and resolution of faults on the mainline, maintaining the uninterrupted operation and safety of train services.
